Some words about me:

Born and raised in Auckland, I divided most of my time between reading, and drawing. My love for words and art inevitably collided - and I decided I’d explore that love to make a living.

After completing a Bachelor of Graphic Design at AUT, I took on a number of freelance commissions and short-term contracts. Over the next year and-a-bit, I was able to design brands and logos for clients big and small. I got real experience at digital design. I even designed a small magazine cover-to-cover in somewhat of a 2-week-long, caffeine-fueled fever-pitch.

After that excitement, I shifted to Melbourne, Australia. I thought I would stick around for a year or so but liked it so much that I was still there 6 years later. During my entire time in Australia, I was employed by Reform clothing, starting as a junior designer in their somewhat more traditional custom clothing firm. Over the years I rode shifting tides as the company grew, and transitioned into the international industry-leading lean development firm it is today. In that time, I produced designs for hundreds if not thousands of clients, produced video content, oversaw photoshoots, and served on internal development teams. I helped re-construct the internal design process, assisted with a chunky re-brand, and led the Australian design team.

Fast-forward through a few more side-projects, several trips, moves, etc. and you get to round-about-now. So who am I, now?

I’m someone who loves to laugh, and laugh I do. I love to go deep in conversations over a beer or three. I love spending time with friends. I love music, I love movies. I love reading, I love writing. I love learning, and I love teaching. I love business. I love design. I love a lot, actually. Chances are, you’ll love me.
